Brazilian Soccer

by Masanori Kawaguchi
(Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan)

As you know, soccer is the most famous sport in Brazil. All Brazilians play it and it is played anywhere. Brazil has produced many star players like Pele, Ronaldo, and Ronaldinho.

The Brazil national team is called Selecao. Selecao has been the No. 1 team, and won the World Cup five times. But the present Selecao does not have star players and is ranked as the third in the world. Kaka is one of the star players, but out of condition.

I think Selecao will become No. 1 again. Because Selecao has a few good young players, and they will become star players, that will bring Selecao back to No. 1.

Masanori, it sounds like you might be a Brazilian soccer fan.

It will be interesting to see if Selecao can be No. 1 again.

Thanks for your nice story...
