Can you climb up the Yoshida Trail from the base of Mt. Fuji?

by Hana
(Georgetown, Malaysia)

I heard that there is a trail from the bottom of Mt. Fuji's Yoshida trail, for an additional 12 km climb.

Does anyone have information on the climb and transport arrangements?

Kind enough to share?

Indeed you can climb up the Yoshida Trail from the base of Mt. Fuji, Hana. From Mt. Fuji's base to the 5th Station, the hiking route is called the Yoshidaguchi Climbing Trail.

From the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine up to the Yoshidaguchi 5th Station is 10.1 km and should take about 5 hours of climbing time.

More info here: Is it possible to climb to the summit of Mt. Fuji from the base of the mountain?

Included there you'll find links to a route map & how to reach the base by bus from Fujisan Station in Fujiyoshida City.

Happy trails!
