Cebu, Philippines TravelMy travel to Cebu, Philippines was one of the most exciting things I've done recently. Through my many years of living in Tokyo, I've made SO many wonderful Philippine friends that I've wanted to visit this beautiful country for a very LONG time. My friends at the Tambuli Beach Club in Cebu, Philippines Plus, I'd been hearing from my Japanese students for years and years about this very special island right in the heart of the Philippines, known in Japanese as Sebuto (セブ島). I finally got my chance in August 2009. Cebu, Philippines PicsOne reason I decided to stay near the Cebu airport on Mactan Island was that this is where some of the most beautiful beaches and largest, upscale hotels are located, including the Hilton and Shangri-La. Being on a somewhat tighter budget though, I chose the Alta Cebu Resort, a very reasonably priced & beautiful place with delightful staff, and yet still fairly close to the nicest beaches. Cebu, Philippines VideosI'll have to admit that there have been many times in my lifetime when I seem to have unwittingly become the recipient of the most unlikely & inexplicable good luck. Well, traveling to Cebu, Philippines was one of those times. Unbeknownst to me in advance, on the 2nd night in my hotel the 2009 Miss Silka Cebu beauty pageant was held there by chance. WOW! Forget the beaches and other natural scenery. These young Philippine girls were some of the most gorgeous women I think I've ever seen. After viewing my videos below, I'm certain you'll agree.
