England's Premier League

by Takeo Maebashi
(Tokyo)

When I hear "England," the first thing that comes to my mind is the football Premier League. Today the number of Japanese football players who are flourishing in world football clubs has kept rising.

But it's been said, "Japanese can't compete in the Premier League." There are some players who have played in Premier, for example, Inamoto, Nakata, Nishizawa, and Toda.

But nobody has had a good performance, actually. I think Japanese players require stamina and speed to play in the Premier League.

I love watching football games! Someday, I want to see a great Japanese football player in England.
