Glasgow's "Old Firm derby"

by Kazuhiro Seita
(Yokohama)

Shunsuke Nakamura is a popular Japanese soccer player who belongs to the Celtic FC team which participates in the Scotland League. Celtic FC is very popular in Scotland.

But in Scotland, there is also another very popular team. That team is "Rangers FC". Both teams, Rangers FC & Celtic FC, have a common feature.

Glasgow, which is the capital of Scotland is a stronghold. So the fans of Glasgow are divided in two. Political & religious factors also divide the fans.

Therefore, the fans and the players are very excited about the games.

The game is called an "Old Firm derby." If it is possible to do, this is one of the games that I also want to watch sometime.
