Is Mt. Yarigatake reachable within a day hike from/back to Kamikochi campground?

Hi Gary,
In order to schedule my Kamikochi visit on the weekend from 13th to 16th of June I'm trying to figure out which strenuous hike can be possible on this weekend. Therefore I have following questions:
Is it possible to reach Okuhotakadake summit on a two days hike from and back to Kamikochi campground?
If yes, do you think it will be accessible during the named weekend without snow gear? (Excepted spontaneous changing weather)
Is Mt. Yarigatake reachable within a day hike from/back to Kamikochi campground? I would be thankful for your personal assessment.
Best greetings, Johannes

Johannes, I haven’t hiked in the Kamikochi area in over a quarter-century, so I don’t believe I'm a very good reference source for you. :-)
What I'd suggest is that you pose your questions in Facebook's "Hiking in Japan" group. I’m fairly confident you’ll get answers from the kind folks there.
But it’s my suspicion that mid-June is still a bit early in the season to be tackling the higher elevations unless you have adequate snow hiking experience, and may need crampons and ice axe, not to mention exposing yourself to the risk of avalanches.
Happy trails and thanks for visiting my site…
Cheers, Gary
