Motherland of Football

Many modern sports originated in England in the nineteen century: cricket, rugby, football, tennis, and so on. Football is the most popular sport of all others in England. They have a football association, The FA. That is the oldest association in the world and only The FA does not include its own country name in its name.
Although football is popular and they have many famous and wonderful players, the England team has not won any big competitions since the FIFA World Cup in 1966.
The Premier League is the national league in England. Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are known as powerful football clubs.
Shinji Kagawa is one of the Japanese players on the Manchester United football team. I hope he plays well and has success there.
