Ice Hockey

Ice Hockey

As I said in our last class, I visited Saskatoon, which is a Canadian city, and stayed there with a Canadian family for two weeks.

Saskatoon is called "Bridge city" for its bridges on the South Saskatchewan River. Saskatoon is also famous for Saskatoon berries, which are a kind of blueberry. The picture above is its jam. It was very delicious, sweet, and sour.

When I went there in April, however, it still had snow. Its sunset was late, so I felt strange that I had supper at 20:00 with a shining sun.

Some people say Saskatoon is a most boring place. I admit that there was no Disneyland in Saskatoon, however there was the Canadian daily life and warmhearted people.

I enjoyed watching a Saskatoon Blades' ice hockey game with my host family. The Canadian ice hockey game was very exciting. It was also a good experience that I had an opportunity to touch the Vancouver Olympic torch, which my host family's high school teacher had.

Anyway, I love this small city, Saskatoon.
