Russia is a multi-ethnic nation of more than 160 ethnic groups. Slavic nations from the medieval state called Rus form the major ethnic group, and it occupies 80%. Settlement customs vary widely, and there are totally different cultures in the same Rus. In Russia, few people have racial prejudice against Asians, unlike Western countries.
Culture changed significantly during the Soviet era. Since the imposition of political thought was carried out frequently, there was a long period of stagnation because of that.
However, in the fields of architecture, ballet, and theater, there has been a relatively low negative political impact on their development.
