Saudi Arabia

by Madis Vellamäe

First of all, I don't know much about Saudi Arabia and I have never been there. But of course, I have heard some things about Saudi Arabia and one is that over 90% of the population are Muslims - but I think it's quite common for the countries in that region.

I also know that alcohol is strictly prohibited. In Europe, people of Saudi Arabia are thought to be very rich because of the oil industry, but as I just read from Wikipedia, the unemployment rate is also quite high: 10% in 2010.

Because of the geographical location, there are many big deserts in Saudi Arabia and of course the climate is also very hostile for Europeans: around 45 degrees in the summer and 29 in the spring and autumn.

Saudi Arabia is definitely a great place to visit during autumn, winter, or spring.
