Security of South Africa

(Japan)

It is said that South Africa is a very dangerous place to travel around. I will show you some important points when you travel in South Africa.

•Don’t take a taxi!
Many taxi drivers could be robbers in South Africa. If you think you will take a taxi from the airport to the main city, you shouldn’t do that. Some taxi drivers have guns and you might be brought to a dangerous area.

•Don’t stop at a red light!
To stop at a crossing because of a red light is dangerous, especially at night.
A car stopped at a red light will likely to be a target, as many burglars are waiting for such a car to attack near the traffic light.
