Some facts about Canada

Canada is located in North America and it has a common border with the US. For some it may be surprising to know that the head of Canada is actually The Queen of England - Queen Elizabeth II.

Also, Canada is bilingual: the official languages are English and French. As it might not be so clearly seen on the map, by total area, it is actually the second-largest country, just after Russia, and because of that, Canada has six time zones.

Canada has the longest coastline in the world - 202,080 kilometers; additionally, its border with the United States is the world's longest land border, stretching 8,891 kilometers (Wikipedia).

It is also interesting to know that not only ice hockey, but also basketball was invented by Canadians.

Oh, and can you guess which nation consumes cheese and macaroni the most? OK, I'll give you a hint: it's not the French or Italians. And the answer is .... Canadians! They consume more macaroni and cheese than any other nation on earth!
