Switzerland cost of living

When I stayed in LA eight months ago, I made friends with a Switzerland girl. She said to me that the cost of living in Switzerland is so high. So I asked her how high the cost of living is.
And she told me that if you order a set menu of hamburgers at McDonald's in Switzerland, you have to pay about 10 dollars. When I heard this story, I thought many Switzerland people are troubled with a too high cost of living.
But I don't think so now because I know the labor cost is the highest in the world.
