The Leaning Tower of Pisa

by Takuto
(Kanagawa, Japan)

A man: Hey, it’s dangerous! Don’t approach the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It inclines by 5.5 degrees. It is about to fall! The Government has repaired it sometimes in the 20th century and they say it’s safe now. Especially, with the repairs since 1990 they say they have succeeded with various measures to straighten the tower. Some say it will be safe for more than 300 years, but I doubt it.

A student: It’s interesting. It may be a dilemma for Italy, with allowing sightseeing while protecting the historical building. I think they should protect their historic treasure and should also ensure the safety of tourists, even if they cannot open it to the public.
