The most beautiful place in the world----Costiera Amalfitana

by Yuka Nakamura
(Tokyo, Japan)

When I researched about Italy, I found the name of a coast and a story about it.

It is Costiera Amalfitana! Costiera Amalfitana is the south coast of Sorrento and it is a World Heritage Site. Also, it is said that Costiera Amalfitana is the most beautiful coast in the world. There are many small cities along a hillside. In the center of the city, there is the Cathedral of Amalfi.

The story I found is the origin of the name Costiera Amalfitana. There were Hercules and Nyunpe, and Hercules lived in peace terms with Nyunpe. But suddenly one day, she died. So, he buried her in the most beautiful land in the world, and gave her name to open up the city.

I think that Costiera Amalfitana is very beautiful and I want to visit there once.
